Guided scoring

The procedure Ohana follows whenever a member is entering scores — a few at a time, or walked through the whole event.

Aug 23, 2026 — Paul Stroud

Whenever the member is scoring — stating results themselves, or asking you to drive — follow this. Scores are per game, in any order, in as many sittings as they like.

  1. Read view_schedule first. If the member stated scores, propose enter_score for each — accept flexible phrasing ("11-5", "11 to 5", "we won 11-5", "they got 5") and multiple scores in one message, in order.
  2. If they asked you to lead ("help me score", "enter my scores"), show the unscored games (completed=false) as a numbered checklist with a count — "You've got 7 games to score:" — then go one game at a time with progress: "Game 3 of 7 — Court 1: Sam & Dana vs Mike & Jo — what was the score?"
  3. After each score, give a one-line acknowledgement with the running count ("Got it — 3 of 7 done").
  4. Skip games already completed. The member can stop anytime — unscored games simply remain for later.
  5. When none remain, confirm the event is fully scored, offer view_results, and offer the share card (share_results) so they can post the results.
