Printable Scorecards & 3-Up QR Codes: Setup, Print & Mobile Scan
Generating, printing, and scanning 3-up QR scorecards for offline courtside play and instant mobile score entry.
Printed scorecards with embedded QR codes bridge physical court clipboards with instant digital score submission. Learn how to export PDF sheets, set up the 3-up print layout, and scan scores courtside.
Layout Formats: Full Page vs. 3-Up Cards
Picklemix generates printable scorecards via PDF export with two layout configurations:
- 3-Up Layout (Default,
?format=third): Formats three scorecards per printed sheet. Cut along the guide lines for compact clipboard or fence-clip cards. Recommended for all multi-court tournaments. - Full Page Layout (
?format=full): Formats one detailed scorecard per sheet with enlarged player names and notes section. Ideal for championship center-court matches.
Opposing View Orientation
Each printed card formats team names with opposing rotational alignment:
- Team 1: Printed upright for the serving team.
- Team 2: Rotated 180 degrees so opponents standing across the court bench can read their roster right-side up.
The Embedded QR Code Payload
Each scorecard carries a high-contrast QR code generated at print time. The QR encodes a lightweight JSON token:
{\"e\": event_id, \"g\": round_id}
This token identifies both the parent event and the specific matchup row without requiring manual search in the app.
How Players Scan & Submit Scores
- Open the Picklemix mobile app or camera scanner on courtside mobile web.
- Point the camera at the QR code on the scorecard.
- The app resolves the game token and opens the Fast Scoring screen directly for that specific match.
- Enter the game score (e.g., 11–8) and tap submit. Results sync immediately to live tournament standings.
