Picklemix ladder leagues run across 4 to 12 weekly rounds. Leagues that collect offline payments or charge zero entry fee pay a single, flat platform fee to cover season hosting and automated ladder calculations.
Fee Structure: Card vs. Wallet Balance
Organizers can pay the platform fee using either a credit card or their organizer wallet balance:

The Round 1 Grace Period
Picklemix does not block your first night of play behind a checkout screen:
- Round 1 Runs Free: You can create the league, seat players, generate schedules, and record all scores for Round 1 without paying upfront.
- Fee Due on Rounds Page: Once Round 1 is underway, a fee notice banner appears on the League Rounds page offering the Card or Wallet payment buttons.
- Round 2 Lock: The \"New Round\" button remains disabled until the platform fee is cleared. Once payment confirms, the ladder calculation engine unlocks all remaining season rounds.
Online Fee Leagues (Zero Platform Fee)
If your league collects player entry fees online through Picklemix Stripe Connect:
- The flat $5 platform fee is completely waived.
- Picklemix takes its standard service fee during player registration settlement.
- All rounds (Round 1 through 12) unlock automatically with zero manual fee payments.
How to Pay the Platform Fee
- Navigate to your league dashboard and click the Rounds card.
- Locate the yellow fee notice banner at the top of the screen.
- Click Pay with Wallet ($4.55) for immediate balance debit, or Pay with Card ($5.00) to complete Stripe checkout.
- The banner will dismiss and the Draw Next Round button will activate instantly.
