Swiss format works well for finding 1 or 2 winners from a large group in a limited number of rounds.
The rounds
Courts hold four players. Each court plays three games, rotating partners. Can be timed or played for score.
Moving between courts
After each round the four players on a court are ranked by games won, then by point differential. The top two move up a court and the bottom two move down. On court 1 the top two stay; on the bottom court the bottom two stay.
