Ladder League
Round robins on courts of four. Win your court to move up a court next round, finish last to drop down.
A Ladder League runs across four to twelve rounds, each on its own date. Each round, players are assigned to courts of four based on their current ladder rank and play a three-game round robin. At the end of the round, the top player moves up a court and the bottom player drops down.
The court rotation
Each court of four plays three games to 11. Over the course of the round, you partner with each player on your court once, and play against them twice:
| Game | Team 1 | Team 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Game 1 | Player 1 & Player 2 | Player 3 & Player 4 |
| Game 2 | Player 1 & Player 4 | Player 2 & Player 3 |
| Game 3 | Player 1 & Player 3 | Player 2 & Player 4 |
When the third game concludes, court standings rank players 1st through 4th by games won, then point differential.
Promotion and relegation
- Group 1 (Top Court): The court winner holds top rank. Fourth place drops to Court 2 next round.
- Middle Courts: First place moves up one court for the next round. Fourth place drops down one court. Second and third remain.
- Bottom Court: First place moves up to the court above. Second, third, and fourth remain.
Numbers and fees
- Season length: 4 to 12 rounds (default 6).
- Platform fee: When entry fees are collected off-platform, a flat $5 card fee ($4.55 from wallet balance) covers the entire season.
