Genderless by default. Two teams of three, any mix of players. An event can require at least one woman on every team, and is then shown as - Mixed. Each team lists its players in order: P1, P2, P3. The match is played in the format below.
| Score | On court | Sitting |
|---|---|---|
| 0 – 5 | P1 + P2 | P3 |
| 5 – 10 | P2 + P3 | P1 |
| 10 – end | P3 + P1 | P2 |
The rotation. A game is to 15. Seats 1 and 2 start. The first time either team's score reaches 5, both teams rotate: seat 3 comes in for seat 1. The first time either team reaches 10, both rotate again: seat 1 comes in for seat 2. Everyone plays two segments and sits one. The pair on court after the last rotation finishes the game, win-by-2 included, unless the event is set to keep rotating in overtime. The rotation points and the game length are settings on the event.
Matches, round robin, divisions. A match is one game, or three if the event says so — every game is played. Three or more teams play a round robin, every team meeting every other once, one match per court per round. An event can be set to two divisions with a final between the leaders. Standings rank teams by matches won, then games won, then point differential.
